Partners & Pilates: Making Space to Show Up

by Sagdrina Brown Jalal, Founder of The SageD Collective

“Physical wellbeing can become less of a priority when I am busy, but I felt accountable to show up and participate and that helped me stay consistent.”

That reflection from first cohort participant Rachel Dekom speaks to one of the reasons Partners & Pilates exists. For women whose days are often filled with work, leadership, family, and community responsibilities, caring for the body can easily become something we promise ourselves we will get to later.

At Sage D Collective, we believe wellness is not a reward for productivity. It is part of the foundation that makes sustained leadership, service, and community work possible.

The experience of our first cohort reinforced that idea. All five participants who completed the post program survey reported a noticeable improvement in their physical well being. Four rated their overall experience a 5 out of 5. But some of the most meaningful feedback was about how participants felt in their bodies. One described feeling “sturdy in my body.” Another said Pilates connected her to her body in a way she had not experienced before. Across the responses, participants returned to the value of consistency, accountability, body awareness, and individual instruction.

This fall, Partners & Pilates returns to Meena’s Manor, where the intimate setting is part of what makes the experience different. Small cohorts and one on one guidance give participants room to learn at their own pace, develop confidence in their practice, and make space for their own well being.

  • This series will run on Wednesdays Oct 7-Nov 4 (Nov 11 is a makeup day).

  • Time: All sessions will take place mornings and afternoons.

  • Location: Meena's Manor (address will be shared upon registration).

  • There are five slots per cohort.

  • There will be a nonrefundable deposit of $50.00 to reserve your spot.

  • The total cost of the program will be $249.00.

Because sometimes the most important part of showing up for everything we care about is learning to show up for ourselves, too.
