Growing, Harvesting, and Learning Together: The Garden at Meena’s Manor
by Sagdrina Brown Jalal, Founder of The SageD Collective
The garden at Meena’s Manor is beginning to settle into fall. What was planted and tended through the warmer months is giving way to harvesting, clearing, saving, and preparing the soil for what comes next. This is the season for noticing what flourished, what struggled, and what we want to carry forward when it is time to plant again.
Some of what we have been growing and learning is also making its way indoors. This fall, our RAW (Returning to Ancient Ways) workshops invite us to explore the wisdom found in plants, seasons, and shared traditions.
Sessions are $60 each, or you can attend all four for $200. The cost includes all materials, presentations, tastings, and hands-on demonstrations.
This series will run on Wednesdays 6:30-8:30pm at Meena's Manor (address shared upon registration):
October 14: Fire Cider
October 21: Healing Salve
October 28: Elderberry syrup
November 4: Fermenting vs. Pickling
Together, we will learn ways to turn what we grow and harvest into things we can use, share, and enjoy, continuing the relationship between garden, nourishment, and community even as the growing season slows.
For now, the garden is doing what gardens do this time of year: giving what is ready, releasing what is finished, and making room for another season.

My hope is that Meena's Manor becomes that kind of place, where people leave with more than they came for and where tending the earth reminds us how to care for one another.
