While executive training focuses exclusively on specific skill development, The Legacy Leadership Project holistically looks at the experience of the leader, delivering both an individualized and collective approach.

The Legacy Leadership Project’s programming hinges on three central pillars:

Self-care

Many brilliant Black executives burn out after working at an unsustainable pace due to the history of inequity and racism. Legacy Leadership responds to these challenges by centering self-care as an essential component of leadership development. 

Community Activation

Capacity building, network expansion, and shared knowledge are critical access to comprehensive professional networks and resources these have been systemically withheld from Black women. Legacy Leadership engages an Upstander relationship to address these challenges.

Legacy Building

Central to sustainable leadership development, legacy building enables Executives to see themselves as thought leaders and experts in their field, affirming value in their own right.

Our Mission in Motion

Post-program surveys demonstrate consistent increases in both mental & physical health, with an average 20% increase in self reported well-being

Since 2020, The Legacy Leadership Project has served 3 cohorts, with 75 participants in total, leaving an enormous impact on the leadership styles of all our Executives

Organizational impact assessments also indicate positive post-program results, such as one cohort member’s 500% budget increase ($60k in 2020 to $300k in 2022!)

Emerging Leaders

Brilliant, highly-motivated BIPOC young women and teenagers who interned with the Executives

Upstanders

Non-Black women dedicated to active anti-racism by increasing access to resources and opportunities for Black people

Corporate Strategic Leadership Training

A highly sought-after consultant, and now current Owner, of Atlanta Leadership Consulting, Sagdrina also is available for authentic community-driven corporate training initiatives, virtual and on-site. Inclusive leadership training comes in many forms, and often, an organization should assess its own unique needs when it comes to managing bias prior to securing training. Using our Framework of Inclusion, Sagdrina offers three levels of inclusion training:

  • Foundations of Social Advocacy

  • Inclusive Practices Assessment + Strategy

  • Strategic Policy Development + Implementation

The SageD Collective Approach

Holistic

Sagdrina leverages tenets of adrienne marie brown’s Emergent Strategy, such as “radical self-help, society-help, and planet-help”.

Placebased

Sagdrina intentionally practices space curation – creating safe spaces – as opposed to more mainstream DEIB experience curation.

Centered on Cultural Preservation

Different from historical preservation, Sagdrina centers both tradition and legacy in her work.

Sistering Series

Sistering Series

Join us in 2025 for our annual Sistering Series, where we embrace the construction-inspired concept of "sistering," the act of reinforcing and strengthening an existing structure rather than replacing it entirely. This metaphor resonates deeply with the SageD 2024 theme centered around building, transitioning seamlessly into our 2025 focus: Building in Uncertain Times.

In these sessions, we will lean into the power and expertise within our community, celebrating the remarkable work that already exists and amplifying its impact by placing our collective resources behind it. True to the SageD Collective’s values, this approach reflects a commitment to intentionality, sustainability, and shared growth.
